How Halloween Can Help You Face Your Fears And Have a Happier Life

“The Halloween Method For Change”

Here it is again, that scary and gruesome holiday we call “Halloween”. Yeah, here comes the ghosts, the vampires, the monsters, and all the negative vibes that come along with this last day in October. This being the case, I propose a plan of action - my “Halloween Method For Change” - a method that uses the negative theme and frightfulness of this holiday as a helpful tool in our day-to-day lives. It will turn Halloween into a positve force for personal development, instead of just an entertaining event.

Turning A Negative Holiday Into A Positive Event

As we know and love, Halloween is about dressing up in scary costumes and faces and receiving gifts(candy for kids and gifts for adults). I propose that we can utilize the negative faces, dress and horrific nature of this occassion as a catalyst for creating a more positive and less intimidating and fearful existence. How can this be done? Read On.

The Method: Using Halloween For Personal Development And Self-Growth

Step 1.

You must accept and see that Halloween is not just about dressing up and having fun. You must observe the obvious qualities of this scary, and therefore, deceptively negative holiday. Yes, its outward appearance is that it is this sweet, fun celebration, leaving us little concern for any negative effects. But we all know that Halloween adds a quiet, lowering impulse to our mental well-being during the time it is among us. So, step #1 consists in realizing the negative essence of Halloween - admitting that it is rooted in the negative.

Step 2.

This part will call for a deep analysis of your mental states and way of life. This step asks that you take the frighting, creepy masks and costumes you wear and others wear as representing the various negative attitudes, thoughts and emotions you experience in your life, for example:

The Werewolf could represent all those wild, uncontrolled thoughts, emotions and actions you experience throughout your day, whether at work or at home.

A zombie, this dull, unaware creator can easily stand for those trivial and hurtful mistakes you make when you fail to be alert and observant. When like a zombie, you kind of sleep-walk, not seeing life fully.

Frankenstein could represent your unwillingness to be a decision-maker, your fear of leadership. This monster can represent your thought and actions that always result in your following the desires of others and not yourself - your own initiative.

Performing this task requires a whole new way of viewing Halloween - it can, if done improperly, cause a dislike of the holiday. That is not the goal of this exercise, the goal of this exercise is to turn the negative qualities of Halloween to your advantage, not ruin the fun associated with it. What will change is your awareness of the evil and negative influence of the celebration. From now on, you won”t let its lower impulses affect your mental well-being, but use them to help in your personal development and self-improvement.

Step 3.

Master this step and I can guarantee you a happier life. This step will need all of your dedication to succeed. You are bound to fail inyour early attempts to change your negative thoughts and habits but I assure you that eventually your thought patterns will become much more happy and serene. But to get here you must attack and confront those frighting masks and disguises - make a totally, all-out effort to throw these mental impulses(the ones represented by the masks and the costumes) out of your mind - be vigilant and refuse them entry into your mental palace. They must become dreaded enemies of your mental kingdom and fought at every point - never allowed entrance. You must try to prevent negative thought and behavior from influencing you day in and day out. As I said above this is a hard and demanding part and will require your complete determination. Succeed here and like magic your life will change for the better. This step asks alot, but it also gives alot. Remember your desire for a better life.

Step 4.

Don”t allow your mind to start hating Halloween - Halloween is a lot of fun, and you should continue to join in the celebrations. Your only concern will be the impure and down-grading thought patterns that can results from the images and behavior of those enjoying the holiday. No longer will you see those scary masks and costumes as innocent disguises. Now you will be using them to face and represent harmful thoghts, emotions and acions you want to destroy in your life. They will represent all of the light and harmony-draining influences in your existence.

Make A Change

Having read my “Halloween Method For Change”, you are now armed with a technique to increase enjoyment and happiness in your life. Put all your desire and determination into this plan for personal development. and self-improvement. Choose to change your life this Halloween.

JAMES BROWN: A LIFE IN SOUL MUSIC

James Brown, the undisputed "King of Soul", was a music god. With a voice that sent shockwaves deep into our souls, James Brown gave us soul-power. He sung the sounds of the ghetto, the sounds I know so well...he was no fake, he sung from his heart. I thank this man for showing how real it can be. Yes, remember James Brown. How can we forget?

Drugged Animals? - How About Drugged Athletes like Marion Jones?

Oh Marion, oh Marion, girl I’m mad at you. Taking them drugs, huh? The temptation was too strong, huh? Do anything to win, huh? Not you...Marion, you took steriods? Shame on you. I’ll tell you, this drug taking mess is about to kill me. Mark Mcguire, Barry Bonds and now, my darling Marion Jones. She took steriods, she has admitted it. This revelation is so sad. Marion Jones succumbed to that - how does it go? That “win at all cost” mentality, a mindset that assures that a good and honest athlete will go bad and do something demeaning and cheat to win. Marion is the latest top ranked athlete to admit using drugs to enhance her performance.

This revelation is another blown to the image of our beloved sports world. We fans have become accustom to hearing that our sports heroes are drug users. Marion Jones is, indeed, a special and very talented athlete, but how much of her talent came from her use of steriods? This is the question we will always want to know and unfortunately, shall never find out. For certain, the drugs increased her strenght and endurance, giving her a decided edge in every contest she competed in. So, how many of her competitions can we really give her as legitimate, honest victories? Should her medals be taken from her? I say, yes, they should be taken from her. Marion, baby, you cheated and you should receive what cheaters receive: nothing.

Have your say, leave your comment.

Learn The Secrets To Using Color In Your Artwork

The use of color in art can and does add a richness to the artwork. It gives the impression of life, a feeling of life to the artwork. An artist uses color in a variety of ways, he may want to emphasize a central element in a painting by adding a certain hue to that element. For instance, let’s say he is painting a farm scene, in this farm scene he wants the apples in a basket he has painted to be the focal point of the artwork, to make this possible he may choose to make the apples intensely red, in doing this he has used that color in a special way. Here is that painting: ”Red Is Sweet” . Look how I employed the red of the apples - it jumps out at you. I wanted the viewer to be struck with the violent intensity that the color red can give.

When you set out to create a color painting, always think of the impact you wish those colors to make. Some colors are called “cool” colors and others “hot”. Cool colors are the blues and greens...color that give us the sensation of cool or cold temperatures. Their opposites are reds and oranges. To get aquinted with these color formats you should practice painting winter and summer landscapes, this is a wonderful way to become comfortable and fluent in using contrasting colors, and experiencing the effect they have on art and nature.

Let’s look at some colors and how they are have traditionally been used throughout history by artists. As an artist this this list will surely help awaken your excitement and creativity in choosing and applying various hues and colors:

1.Brown - this color brings to mind “the 49ers” - the distant past, this is a color used to relay the essence of the times gone by, our ancient past. This color fits well in the depiction of the great empire of Rome, folklore and the like.

2.Pink - pink is the a must when rendering anything strickly relating to women, it is the color that signifies the soft and gentle quality of the female. The color can be used to convey that which is gentle, loving and soft - it is the traditional female color.

3.Green - to communicate the qualities of growth, vegetation, living and maturing, an artist will often select green hues. Green says plant life, development.

4.Red - as stipulated before, the color red is a so-called “hot” color, and is used to convey a sense heat, excitement. Red means movement, energy, liveliness, and it can also relay the essence of readiness, of ripeness.

5.Black - the color black is like the stoic father of all the other colors, it gives the sense of standing by, holding up the other colors. Applied alone it gives the qualities of definity, boldness, age and of course, darkness, and the horrific.

6.Blue - is the known as the traditional “cool” color. Blue is the color of cold, cool, relaxing times. Along with the color white it is used in winter and cold scenes. It is also the color use when depicting water and watery scenery. This color can also be used to bring in an uplifting effect to a painting.

There are many other colors to consider, I just wanted to speak on some of the ones seen often in art and in society as a whole. An artist would do well to study the effects of these colors on his artwork. Using color in artwork is not like the use of black and white, it requires a thorough knowledge of the many effects of colors on our consciousness. Start your study of color today and watch your art blossom and affect you and its viewers much more intensely.

How To Have More Love

People wake up everyday wanting to be loved. They wonder why they can’t find the door to true love. Love that won’t fade, love that keeps you warm inside, love that keeps a smile on your face. This kind of love is hard to find and we rarely experience it. The reason being it takes some love to make love, just like it takes gold to make gold.

Love feels so good we can’t describe it.. Having once experienced love, you want more, more and more but always it leaves us, leaving only a mere inkling of itself. We often say we love our family, our friends, our dog or cat but more often than not, we are only parroting the word, not really feelng what it implies. Love is the most unique and unfathomable quality in the world. Everybody wants it but nobody gives it. We all need to nurture and hone our ability to receive and attract the love. If this is done properly, the reward will be a happier, more love-filled existence.

There are ways to attract the energy of love, and they require nothing of you but time and effort. They will require a definite change in your mind structure, your way of thinkig has to change for your life to improve . Only then will more love come into you experience. You’re going to have to remove dark, unhealthy thought energy so it can be replaced with wholesome, llife-giving thought patterns. Below are steps that have been tested and are sure to bring more love into your life:

1. When being intimate with your partner, remember to kiss
2. Consider the feelings of others.
3. Begin your day with a positive attitude.
4. Smile at someone.

Yes, these seem to be quite easy tasks, but try them and you will see they are far from easy to sustain. You’ll be able to do them for a short time and only for that shoert time. Mankind has developed a deficientcy in the pleasant qualities of his being and can no longer communicate in a harmonious way with his surroundinds, esp. with people. This is a fact that we as a whole prove every day in our interactions with one another. The above plan of action must be applied constantly to show an effect and be a force in your personal development. If these actions a held to, love will be the reward - lightly at first, but a momentum will have been established and your heart will begain to soften. Love will finally have a place to reside in you. Do the task and love will accomplish the rest.

I would love to hear about the results you achieve. Leave a comment.
