WHO SAID COSMOPOLITAN WASN’T INTO HIP HOP?: BEYONCE(Pictures)

Sir Mix-A-Lot said Cosmo wasn’t down with the “hood”....Well, things have certainly changed over there. Look at who’s on the cover of their current issue - BEYONCE!

And check this, this is the second time they have put her on the cover, so as can be seen, Cosmopolitan loves Hip Hop and definitely the shapely, big butt females that help represent it. Here, take another look at that Hip Hop/Rap honey, Beyonce:

Cosmopolitan magazine aint alone, Vanity Fair is into Hip Hop and Rap, too. Sir Mix-A-Lot would be proud - Here’s their take:

Alright,“Heroes” is returning, now this is a quality show. This show has good writing with attention-grabbing plots and scenes plus some fine acting. I happened to find “Heroes” during one of my channel-surfing sessions...wow, am I glad I stopped on it and gave it a shot. Really, it's worth the hype, it’s a darn good show. It will be airing again - shouldn’t have to worry about episodes - they’re already in the can...you know, the writers’ strike. Folks, the wait has ended - “Heroes” is returning to television. So, get ready, get your beverages and chips...and hold on to your seats.

How to make a "hit" song with strong lyrics

The music industry and its rock stars strive on lyrics - lyrics are the parts of songs we sing. With lyrics a song communicates its purpose for being. A song may contain beautiful music, but if its lyrics don’t combine harmoniously with the melodic sounds - the song is sure to fail. The song will have no “vibe” and the listeners won’t be able to fully appreciate the music because of the misdirection of the vocals. The listener’s ears and mind will be caught in the uncomfortable position of trying to harmonize the enjoyable music with the annoying and distracting vocals. There are quite a few recordings with great music and unsettling lyrics. A great artist has great sounds and great songwriting. He feels the lyrics as well as the instruments. He gives both equal attention and this is how he makes “hit” songs - songs that communicate well. Apply these steps and make your next song a hit song:

    1. Think about the meaning of the song, think about the reason you want to make the song. This is the seed or root of the whole process - this it the part that determines the end result. Plant a good and healthy seed and you will later have a strong , healthy musical tree. Try and think like a rock star.

    2. Study the songwriting created and/or used by these successful recording artists and rock stars...artist like: Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, The Temptations, The Beatles, Micheal Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, The Carpenters, Elvis, Chaka Khan, Kiss.

    3. Rework the sounds and lyrics until you know that these components are existing in a complementary way; not taking away from each other. The drums can primarily relate to a section of the lyrics and the horns to another section. Keep trying and testing differtent lyric and musical arrangements, and finally you will feel and know you have a completed song.

Becoming a lyricist and songwriter

Songwriters are born with an ability to combine words and melodic sounds. These people hear sound in a somewhat different manner from the average person, and this accounts for their abilty to structure words in such musical ways. You, the person reading this, may be one of these individuals without even knowing it. I hope my words have opened your eyes to yourself ,and given you the courage to further develop your music and abilty to produce lyrics. Use and enjoy this information.

PICASSO COULD DRAW - HE WAS MORE THAN CUBISM(Pics)

Picasso is known for his paintings of cubism, but he could have also rendered more correctively formed pictures. He was a fine artist and he has left us with works depicting his ability to draw reality as it is normally viewed and presented. Picasso consciously chose the abstract path, for he was a skilled traditional artist as well. Just look at these:
