Pretty Girl Makes Pretty Portrait

This here is some portrait art I did a few years ago, I like it a lot, and a viewer can really feel the warmth this figure(a pretty girl) gives off. Her friendly smile exudes joy and happiness...it really communicates a friendly atmosphere. This portrait came about because of my being taken by the beauty of this young woman. Her face just said draw me...draw me. SO I DID! And the rest is history. I hope ya'll enjoy looking at it as much as I do. And remember, I can produce a portrait of you and/or your animal(s) too, just email me or call(1-561-740-7209).

Fresh Art: Look At My Brand New Framed Art Prints

I have just completed my latest art project, these art pieces are brand spanking new, only hours old. Theses framed art prints were as always a labor of love, and I hope you’ ll feel the energy, the dedication and love I poured into each piece of artwork. I dove deep into my creative mind to come up with these framed art prints, this time I wanted to make framed art prints that were colorful but had a very direct effect.

These pieces of artwork convey a strong immediate, and I think unexpected directional tone while at the same time relaxing, comforting influence upon their viewers, opening the eyes as well as the mind. The art composition methods I used nearly aways seek to reach out to the seer, to arrest, and or, shock their mind into another world, a universe where objects are seen from a deeper standpoint...a place where objects literally talk and feel. In other words, my framed art prints, paintings, illustrations, drawings and any other artwok I create serves as a conduit for your mind expansion and creative upliftment. Communicating through line, shape and colors is - I find - a great way relate with others.

Using intense color illustrations and paintings is one of my favorite ways to produce framed art prints as well other types of art; color has definite effects on people, some colors can irritate and some colors exude a calming beneficial effect on our consciousness. Psychologist are quite aware of the influences and counsel the business community on these malevolent or benefical qualities of color and design.

The framed art prints I have most recently complete all have the qualities described above - and yes, they do enlist an obvious Andy Warhol influence - that makes for rather delightful art viewing. Here I will they are, here’s to a enjoyable framed art print viewing:

Man, I tell ya, pastel is the best of both worlds...an artist has the dry(pencil, etc..), and the wet(paint) worlds.

Stop Hating On Photoshop - It's Just Computer Software

I been playing around with Photoshop, yes...we artists may as well grab this new artist-assistant technology because everyone's using it or demanding it. Well, it does have its advantages, an artist can complete a whole art campaign in an unbelievable amount of time. He or she can save tremendously in art supplies and such, computer art and software has its benefits. Now, I know certain areas of art production remains relatively untouched by the modern state of technology, but this is only expected since the traditional methods give artwork the true human feel that all real art exudes. The pencil, brush, paint, paper, and canvas will never, never be replaced - fine art belongs to man totally - no place for computers or any other machine. Man is flesh and blood, not metal and plastic.

To reinerate, traditionalists, take a look at the computer, it can’t hurt to look. Yeah, I know you have no use for computer-generated artwork but looking into the matter will give a newfound respect for computer-assisted art production. You will find that the artist still has to have the fundamentals of drawing, painting, and composition installed in his artistic soul to create anything of real value, the computer only outputs what it has received as input from its humand master. So, even the computer is nothing without that ‘human touch’. I know that set all my true art-producing purist straight - glad I said it - so you all can be at rest in this present state of the times. Technology doesn’t have to be feared.

To end, I will leave you with a piece of art I rendered using the new technology, Photoshop to be specific, It took some work but here it is:

The Art Of Pastel Portraiture

There is no more enjoyable activity for a portrait artist than the art of pastel portraiture. An artist who uses pastels enjoys both worlds - the world of dry media and the world of wet media. Let me explain why I said “wet" media, yes, a pasteI is most certainly a dry , hard substance, but a skilled pastel artist can make a pastel give the effect of oil paint, which as we know, is a “wet” media or medium. I myself can do this, it’s all about feeling the power of pastel.

Pastels give the artist the ability to produce wonderful effects, and it has one quality only a very few other mediums have: it can be touched, and worked with, just like the finger-painting of a child. But paint cannot be applied without a brush to any effect, one has to relie on his or her ability to handle a brush. Colors can be created and mixed like with using paint but again, success in this area depends on the artist’s skills. And remember you are working with a dry substance, but a dry sustance that has a unique quality and does what colored pencil can’t: mix like paint. In the art of pastel portraiture artists often use this unique quality to their advantage when attempting to exactly reproduce the subjects flesh tones, etc. and other parts of a portrait that stand out prominently. This blending of color is hard to accomplish using other dry mediums. Pastel does have special qualities.

The only way to experience the uniqueness of pastels and gain an understanding of why certain artist perfer them, is to start using this fine. The art of pastel portraiture will give an artist a new found respect for the magic of pastels. Pastels allow one to have both worlds of art: the dry one, along with the wet one. Get involved in the art of pastel portraiture today and enter a new world of color and portraiture.

3 Shapes That Will Transform Your Artwork

These art the master shapes for an artist:

But you need to know how to use them, and apply them when painting or drawing objects. The using of these shapes can totally transform an artist’s ability to produce artwork. These shapes are known as the fundamental shapes of art; they are used by art schools and institutions in art instruction. But these shapes can even help an average person(with some artistic ability, of course) create better images. Learn The Secrets To Using Color In Your Artwork

The use of color in art can and does add a richness to the artwork. It gives the impression of life, a feeling of life to the artwork. An artist uses color in a variety of ways, he may want to emphasize a central element in a painting by adding a certain hue to that element. For instance, let’s say he is painting a farm scene, in this farm scene he wants the apples in a basket he has painted to be the focal point of the artwork, to make this possible he may choose to make the apples intensely red, in doing this he has used that color in a special way. Here is that painting: ”Red Is Sweet” . Look how I employed the red of the apples - it jumps out at you. I wanted the viewer to be struck with the violent intensity that the color red can give.

When you set out to create a color painting, always think of the impact you wish those colors to make. Some colors are called “cool” colors and others “hot”. Cool colors are the blues and greens...color that give us the sensation of cool or cold temperatures. Their opposites are reds and oranges. To get aquinted with these color formats you should practice painting winter and summer landscapes, this is a wonderful way to become comfortable and fluent in using contrasting colors, and experiencing the effect they have on art and nature.

Let’s look at some colors and how they are have traditionally been used throughout history by artists. As an artist this this list will surely help awaken your excitement and creativity in choosing and applying various hues and colors:

1.Brown - this color brings to mind “the 49ers” - the distant past, this is a color used to relay the essence of the times gone by, our ancient past. This color fits well in the depiction of the great empire of Rome, folklore and the like.

2.Pink - pink is the a must when rendering anything strickly relating to women, it is the color that signifies the soft and gentle quality of the female. The color can be used to convey that which is gentle, loving and soft - it is the traditional female color.

3.Green - to communicate the qualities of growth, vegetation, living and maturing, an artist will often select green hues. Green says plant life, development.

4.Red - as stipulated before, the color red is a so-called “hot” color, and is used to convey a sense heat, excitement. Red means movement, energy, liveliness, and it can also relay the essence of readiness, of ripeness.

5.Black - the color black is like the stoic father of all the other colors, it gives the sense of standing by, holding up the other colors. Applied alone it gives the qualities of definity, boldness, age and of course, darkness, and the horrific.

6.Blue - is the known as the traditional “cool” color. Blue is the color of cold, cool, relaxing times. Along with the color white it is used in winter and cold scenes. It is also the color use when depicting water and watery scenery. This color can also be used to bring in an uplifting effect to a painting.

There are many other colors to consider, I just wanted to speak on some of the ones seen often in art and in society as a whole. An artist would do well to study the effects of these colors on his artwork. Using color in artwork is not like the use of black and white, it requires a thorough knowledge of the many effects of colors on our consciousness. Start your study of color today and watch your art blossom and affect you and its viewers much more intensely.

How To Make A Still-life Painting

Lets paint a still-life. Get your paints, get the canvas or whatever surface you have chosen. Now just sit and relax, think about the many objects you encounter everyday, think about how these objects are used, what function do they fulfill? Think about the fact that the world would be nothing if it were not for objects. No objects, no world. Alright, now that was simple, wasn’t it? This is a fact that is always before our eyes, so we never notice it. We never notice that this universe of ours is totally made of objects.

What this will do is put you into the artist mindset. An artist sees the world, and its objects in a much deeper way than the average man or woman. This is part of what separates him from the rest of mankind, along with artistic talent. I want you to allow the objects to talk to you, I want you to feel the rust on the shovel; feel the that tree branch that has fallen from that oak tree to the ground; think about the old cuckoo clock that now lives its life down in the basement. Still-life art is the art of showcasing an object or objects. In still-life artwork the objects are drawn or painted in a static mode, but their essential qualities seem to be projecting life, a life usually not revealed to our busy unobservant minds.

Next, I want you to think about and study the colors of the objects you’ve seen in the past and the ones you encounter presently. A still-life conveys its message strickly through its ability to communicate the essential functionality and outer charcteristics of its objects. Still-lifes explore and focus our minds on an object's character - the color, age of a workman's hammer, for instance. That hammer has its story to tell and through the use of color, and shape an artist attempts to convey that hammer's story. Colors used don’t necessarily have to reflect the object's actual color(s), an artist’s main task is to reveal the outer and inner qualities of the chosen item(s). He may chose to highlight what he feels is an objects inner qualities - focusing on these rather than any outer characteristic.

Now your really feeling like an artist. Your opening your mind to a creative flow, this is the usual mentality of any true artist. Let us continue. The next step in producing our still-life masterpiece will be composition. What is composition? If you’re an artist I’m sure you’re familiar with this term. But for the rest of you, composition simply means layout - how will you arrange the objects in your still-life? Are you going to stand that book up or have it in a laying position. A good composition will result in an exciting and attractive art creation. How you layout and plan the placement of objects in your artwork will definitely affect the overall impact of the still-life. Composition determines the role each item will take, some will be in the spotlite, and some objects will only play a supporting role. Think out the placement of the items and look at them from different angles. By doing this you will come to a view that you like. Sketch out this composition, does the layout have the effect you want? If so, this will be your setup. Now you can start to paint the still-life. I’ll leave you now and allow you to began creating your still-life. Think of me when you’re done.

Art is a big part of life, it’s everywhere, you can’t miss it: a framed art piece, a billboard, a design on a piece of clothing. Many times it is in the eye of the beholder. What you feel is art may not be what he feels is art. The individual has to make his or her own decision. The above is all about a particular kind of art form: still-life. I call this form of artwork “static art”, but it is only immobile outwardly, not inwardly. Now go ahead and immerse yourself in this art form, the enjoyment will be yours.

Painting with pastels

Hello there,
As a little boy, we didn’t have much to spend on art. So pastels were my oil paints. They were cheaper and you could get the same effect as an oil painting if you were talented enough. There was no wet mixing, it was like using a pencil, only much bigger. And the pastels messed up your hands. This early training with pastels has developed, and now I am an expert in using the pastel medium. Pastel are very user-friendly, unlike paints. They're a little messy but they are easy to apply. I love the pastel medium.

Using pastels is similiar to using a pencil or charcoal. They are all graphite based and they all give you the same feel when using them. Drawiing a line with a pencil feels the same as doing it with a pastel, you feel the same pressure in application as with a pastel. Like a colored pencil pastels come in colors, but with pastels you can blend or mix the colors. This is harder to do using colored pencils. As I said above, pastels can be made to look like an oil painting, but to get that effect you will have to become a master at pastel color mixing. This is something I’m an expert at and can blow your eyes away with. Yes, many times I choose to render artwork in pastel instead of paints. I have no problem with oil, acrylic or any other wet medium, it’s just that I have a special place in my heart for dry mediums. I came up using dry media - pencil, charcoal and pastel - for that was the most economical for us. I love using pastels in the production of framed art pieces.Try pastels; they are a wonderful medium. Bye folks.

Thinking about framed art

Hi,
Read this article I wrote on framed art, it is full of information:

How Paintings, Drawings And Graphics Enhance A Space

A print or work of art makes a work place, a blank wall in a house, places where people gather come alive. Art makes space grow and become more interesting because of the energy, attention, and exciting feeling a work of art creates in our eyes and minds. Wall art brightens the work place, soothes the tense mind, takes one away from the stressful activities of the day. Artwork should and can change our attitudes about life. Framed art is more that a mere fragment of our reality, it can change our perpective on life and how we feel about it. So, view a painting, study the art in a museum, let the shapes, the designs, the colors affect you. You will be glad you got a chance to experience it. That is the world of art.

Collecting Artwork

Most people enjoy framed art, but many also love collecting paintings, prints, wall art and designs. This activity brings them much, much joy. They get to personally own a piece of art they can view anytime they choose. That piece belongs to them and only them. Art patrons would not trade that feeling of owning a part of that artist's mind for anything. All illustration should strive to make the viewer feel something. An artist should think about what his art is trying to say and put that idea in the work. Art is communication, the artist has to always remember this. Whether it's still life, floral, animal or landscape art, it should stand the test time.

Framed Art Has Many Uses

People desire artwork for different reasons. Some only for the visual qualities, others for that and more, another for financial gain. Only the first reason really inspires an artist to produce his creations, but he is not offended by the other reasons. He is a creator of art and shares these creations with whomever wants them. Below are the most common reasons for wanting art:

* Plain enjoyment - most people love viewing art.

* Commercial applications - Artwork can be used to sell and aid industry.

*Therapeutive - many people say design and color has a beneficial effect on them.

* It is collectable - you can collect artwork for the joy of it, acquiring work in series, theme, etc..

* Investment - others may want to buy the art you own!!

* As a gift - who doesn't enjoy receiving a piece of artwork.

So, there you have it, my thoughts on framed art. As a producer of framed art I feel very qualified to reveal these thoughts on the subject. Artwork definitely has an effect on me and I'm sure it affects you. Look at, feel the art, it's there for that purpose. And remember, art is life.

See beautiful framed art here: Framed Art I hope you enjoyed this information, it expresses my main views on the subject of framed art. Use this information and let it guide you in your next artwork purchase.

Art is my life

Wha' Up?
Let me tell ya what art means to me. Art is my life. Without art in my life I'd be truly lost, for it has always been a constant in my life and there for me. Art has a being of its own, it just seems to always be around. We artist love blank paper, it begs us to fill it with designs, illustration and the like. I have always had an attraction for blank surfaces. Remember, it is the artist(creator) that takes an idea an makes it visible for all to see. We artist are the creative sources, we live in the idea world and try to bring forth those ideas to the physical world. We see the light, the colors, the arrangement of objects in our mind's eye and then attempt to translate that into physical forms. It is such a great experience to be able to do this, I wish others could experience what I do when producing artwork. The feelings that accompany the creation of art cannot be described. Ask an artist how he or she does it and they will pause - they can't explain how they do it. When I create a painting colors, shapes and composition just seems to be there. I've never felt comfotable trying to explain where it comes from; I don't know. Yes, I do agree we artist are special people, but we aren't X-Men. Well, at least I don't think so. Talk to you guys and guls later.

I'm painting away

How you doing?
I'm in the middle of completing a beautiful seascape scene, your going to love this work. Well, take a look at my other artwork at: Framed Art. The artwork above comes from that site. There you will find the same high quality art creations that this new masterpiece represents. The show continues, it's my life. This new painting has those same trademark features of mine as the rest of my work. The seawater comes through so strong your going to think you've entered the painting. You can almost hear the seagulls flying around. You can literally smell and touch the things depicted in the artwork. As I always say, "My art is more than visual- it involves all the senses and it has feeling". I want people to love the art images I create. I infuse them all with my feeling in an effort to convey a message. When you buy a painting, art print or illustration from me know that it was created with care and attention. All of my artwork shows this clearly. I'm really enjoying the production of this new piece of art. Art is true love. See you guys later.

The subjects in my art prints

Hi,
Art prints are a great way to buy art. You can have a piece of art at a much lower price that is identical to the original painting or drawing. That piece will have the same quality and effect as the higher priced piece. But it will not have the same resale and auction value as the original artwork. You still get a work of art that makes your surroundings more interesting. A plain wall will be brought to life with the right piece of art. An art print will most certainly accomplish this goal. On my website: Framed Art you can buy art prints that I created, go there and you will see some amazing artwork. When creating a painting or illustration I try to capture the feeling that a given subject projects. For instance, my "Red Is Sweet"(shown above) art print gives one the feelings of country life, of farm life. My artwork always provokes a feeling each and everytime. Anyone who views my art comes away with a feeling that is transmitted through the art itself, the images were chosen for a precise effect. Enjoy the art in life. 'Til next time.

Thinking of my little Angel

Hi there,
I've been thinking about my sweet little angel, Glenda. You know? I'm going to keep promoting her until she's bigger than Pokemon. She has magic too, she can fly, make things appear out of air and her most precious power - she has LOVE. As I said before I love starry things and Glenda-the Angel is a very starry thing. She came to me when I was thinking of creating a cartoon . She just started flowing into my mind and before you know it, she was being drawn on the paper before me. That's how I created Glenda-the Angel, out of nothing. I really love her and she's all mine. See her at: Framed Art . Click on the Glenda-the Angel page on the site, she will love to see you. See ya.

Marketing my framed art

Hi there,
Finally, I make it back to my blog. I've been working at marketing my framed art, and it had me caught up for days. Ask any real business person and they will tell you that marketing can take a lot of your time. But I'm back now and I had to let you guys know that I'm alive and in excellent shape. Let me speak on this marketing thing. I've got this wonderful site at: Framed Art. This site has exciting colorful works that I know anyone would love to have in there home or business. I am doing my best to market this fine site and let the world enjoy my artwork, but the marketing of it is taking more time, much more time than I expected. Things are going ok, though, and I know the results of my efforts will show sooner or later. Everybody, hold your head up, look into the sky and feel good!
